Currently,
Jameson offers a two-year diploma program that qualifies
the graduate to take the professional licensing
examination to become a registered nurse. It also provides
a career ladder toward a bachelor's degree in nursing at
Penn State University, after one to two additional years
of full-time study. This unique relationship between the
two schools provides the following to Jameson
graduates:
- Guaranteed
admission into the E-Nurse program at Penn State,
providing the graduate meets the minimum requirement
of a 2.5 cumulative grade point average and passes
the nursing licensure examination.
- Direct
transfer of an additional 33
semester hours of credits upon transfer into the
E-Nurse program.
- Access to advisors
in Penn State University's Nursing Department to
promote a smooth transition into the Baccalaureate
program.
