Graduate Satisfaction  Six Months and One Year Follow-Up Evaluation

From year-to-year, Jameson Memorial Hospital School of Nursing graduating seniors consistently indicate that they feel confident and prepared to function as beginning staff nurses.  Graduates returning a one-year follow-up survey also consistently evaluate themselves as having been prepared by the nursing program for the role of a Professional Nurse.

Employment Patterns of Graduates

During exit interviews, 87.5% of the 2008 graduates indicated that they would be employed as graduate nurses following graduation.  Currently, all of the 2007 graduates are employed, at least on a part-time basis.  This information has been provided by the graduates via individual contact with the School of Nursing Faculty.

Employer's Evaluation of Graduates Six Months and One Year After Graduation

All employers who returned the surveys indicated that the graduates of the Classes of 2006 and 2007 were well prepared for the current work force and well prepared for their role as a Professional Nurse.

Placement Assistance

Faculty members inform students of local job opportunities and post out of state newspapers advertising employment for registered nurses.  Regular meetings are held with representatives from the Hospital Human Resources Department to keep students informed of job opportunities within the Jameson Health System.

Statistics for Crime Awareness and Campus Security for Jameson Hospital School of Nursing

As required by the Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act of 1990, the Jameson Memorial Hospital Security Department maintains an incident reporting system of all occurrences that are reported on campus.  The information is published annually in this disclosure statement.
